UKRAINIAN SOVIET CHILDREN'S BOOK OF THE 1920S – 30S: B. BUTNІK-SIVERSKIY BOOK ILLUSTRATION CONCEPT AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION

Valeriia Pitenina

Postgraduate Student at the Department of History and Theory of Art
National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (Kyiv, Ukraine)
ORCID ID: 0000-0002-6303-051Х
Anotation. The article looks into the activities of the Cabinet of Children's Creativity under VUAN (the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine). In particular, the paper analyses the theoretical and practical activity of the educator, psychologist and art editor of the publishing house "Culture" B. Butnik-Siverskiy, and his role in the formation of the visual language of the Ukrainian children's book of the first Soviet decades. The article pays special attention to Butnik-Siverskiy's ideas about differentiating pictorial language for children of different ages that he declared in his work "Principles of children's book illustration". The use of planar compositional solutions, simplified volumes, schematic gestures instead of complex angles, abstaining from of chiaroscuro and perspective is demonstrated on the example of a number of children's publications designed by illustrators Y. Rachev, B. Kryukov, B. Yermolenko, I. Nyzhnyk, H. Pustovoit as recommended artistic means for children's books. This set of artistic techniques contributed to the creation of a specific style at the time, which resembles a book illustration to a child's drawing. Thus, it was found that theoretical research and new concepts of children's book illustration, in particular by B. Butnik-Siverskiy, became one of the factors changing the visuality of the Ukrainian children's book of the 1920s and 1930s.

ORCID ID: 0000-0001-7748-2106
Anotation. This paper is devoted to the characteristics of the family and the network of family ties of the villagers of the Ukrainian Cossack state of the Hetmanate in the second half of the 18th century. On the example of the most numerous microgroup of rural society – the Cossacks, the indicators of household population and family size, the generational composition, typology and structure of family households are analyzed. The calculations were made on the basis of accounting data of confessional registers of three villages of the Lubny regiment of the Hetmanate (later – Pyriatyn county of the Kyiv vicegerency) named Davydivka, Povstyn and Kharkivtsi. The research is based on the method of determining the structure of family households of the British historian Peter Laslett, which is widespread in modern historical demography. As a result of the conducted research, it was found that during the second half of the 18th century among the Cossack population of the analyzed villages, complex forms of family organization prevailed. The obtained data are close to similar indicators calculated by Ukrainian researchers in relation to other rural settlements of the Hetmanate.

ORCID ID: 0000-0025-3589-4628
Anotation. The article examines the simplified litigation in commercial judiciary and problems with the procedure of hearing cases by commercial courts. It has been generalized that the main task of commercial litigation is to restore the violated rights of commercial entities in a way that is both cost-effective and efficient. Minimizing the time spent on resolving disputes in court is a guarantee of intensification of commercial activity, and therefore such intensification should be ensured, inter alia, by the quality of court procedures and their simplified nature. The essence and main purpose of the procedure of simplified claim proceedings in the commercial process have been revealed. The issues of cases that are expedient and possible to hear in the order of simplified claim proceedings have been investigated. It has been found that the use of simplified proceedings in commercial litigation is associated with conditions’ compliance of subjective and objective nature. Simplification of the structure of proceedings and court hearings provides the abolition of certain procedural actions at the stages of preparatory proceedings and court hearings. The main problems of practical implementation of simplified litigation have been identified and ways to solve them have been proposed.

Iryna Kulish

Postgraduate Student at the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation from English
Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Kyiv, Ukraine)
ORCID ID: 0000-0002-9377-996X
Anotation. Through retrospective-diachronic and synchronic approaches within descriptive meta-translation studies the article explores usage peculiarities of translation studies terms such as “adequacy”, “fidelity”, “accuracy”, “equivalence”, “compliance” as well as their morphological forms in M. Rylsky's works dedicated to the literary translation theory amid polemics over the given terms between M. Rylsky as a representative of the literary theory of translation and A. Fedorov as a representative of the linguistic approach to translation. Research has been carried out into further evolvement of these terms in the Ukrainian translation thought in the late 1920s until the 50s as well as into priority given to certain terms in M. Rylsky’s individual scientific language. Factors influencing formation of M. Rylsky's conceptual sphere as a neoclassicist and the author of the theory of literary translation from closely related languages have been brought to the fore. There is an analysis into the main features of M. Rylsky’s terminological usage, the scope and content of the units from the author's terminological system and the system of concepts of M. Rylsky as a translation studies theorist, as well as detailing the shades of meaning for the given terms used by M. Rylsky.

The lyric of these first women poets of the Pre-Qin Period is a part of canonical collection of Chinese ancient poetry – “Book of Songs”. Living in the challenging period of time, these women managed to express and convey the diversity of own emotional experiences by virtue of poetical skills. During the process of research were used culturalhistorical, biographical and text analysis scientific methods. Most of the illustrated thematic paradigms, such as parting and mourning lyric have influenced the subsequent Chinese poetry. The results of our work may contribute to a deeper analysis of the poetry from “Book of Songs” and its impact on later lyric in general. Moreover, it can be a good basis for a detailed research of ancient Chinese women’s poetry of ensuing centuries.

FISHING PHRASEOLOGICAL PUNS IN UKRAINIANS’ LINGUISTIC IMAGE OF THE WORLD

Roman Minyailo

Candidate of Philological Sciences (Ph.D.), Associate Professor, Associate Professor at the Department of Ukrainian Linguistics, Literature and Teaching Methods
Municipal Establishment “Kharkiv Humanitarian-Pedagogical Academy” of the Kharkiv Regional Council (Kharkiv, Ukraine)
ORCID ID: 0000-0001-9392-594X
Anotation. The article analyzes the motivational nature of puns generated by fishing life. The ambiguity of a word (phrase) or the consonance of words is played out in these puns. The internal form of these puns is often complicated by an unexpected, mysterious «storyline» of the motivational basis (motivational chain), which forces to intensify thinking in the direction of revealing «condensed thought» (according to O. Potebnia), immersion in the world of folk tales, anecdotes, beliefs – that is, comprehension of fishing as a material and spiritual component of national culture. Therefore, the determination of a motivational chain of pun-motivated phraseology is possible only if we consider their internal form through the prism of national ethnocultural stereotypes, retransmitted in the form of a euphemistic or periphrastic riddle, an ironic (mocking) connotation of some components of the expression which reflects the bizarre discursive thinking of Ukrainians.

Iryna Orel

Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor at the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology
Rivne State University of Humanities (Rivne, Ukraine)
ORCID ID: 0000-0002-7258-1444
Anotation. The article describes the semantic classification of German phraseology to denote heterostereotypes. A number of general scientific and special methods and techniques are used to conduct the investigation, which ensure the receipt of relevant results. The main method of research is the component analysis which promotes establishment of structure of PU and a sema-sememe set of structure of value. A phraseothematic group consisting of three variant-semantic fields, which are structured by phrase-semantic series, is revealed. Each phrase-semantic series is represented by PUs that have a common differential and integral semas, but different sememes, which translates positive, negative or neutral evaluations. The selected evaluative components of phraseological meaning are considered as ideograms, on the basis of which it is possible to carry out further ideographic division of PU on the basis of the analysis of the structure of the connotative component of phraseological meaning. Consideration of the structure of phraseological meaning is carried out taking into account extralingual factors that reflect the features of the onomasiological portrait of the studied PU. The establishment of extralingual factors that determine the bases and vectors of rethinking the isolated features of the stereotyped image made it possible to identify semantic components and their elements in the structure of the integral meaning of the PU.

Igor Kukin

Candidate of Sciences in Public Administration, Doctoral Student at the Border Security Department
National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky (Khmelnytsky, Ukraine)
ORCID ID: 0000-0003-0976-7884
Anotation. In the scientific article the author analyzes some issues, determines the content and structure of the theoretical and methodological foundations of public management of the individual information security in the field of national security. Emphasis is placed on the fact that person is the main element of the social system and the bearer of state power in a democratic country. This requires considering the individual information security as one of the main factors of information security in the field of national security. In the conditions of modern information wars, there is no ideal strategy and tactics for victory. Ukrainian society and the international community continue to be under pressure from informational threats from hostile states. This requires a rethinking of the term "information" and further improvement of the theory and practice of public management of the individual information security in the field of national security. It is recommended in the field of national security of the state to distinguish the following scientific categories: functions, role, place, levels, tools of the individual information security. To strengthen information immunity, the most important mechanisms of public administration are motivational, legal regulation, bilateral symmetrical dialogue with society, information interaction, and documentation activity.

Competitor of Scientific Degree of Candidate of Sciences, Lecturer at the Department of Information Technologies

ORCID ID: 0000-0001-5062-0759
Anotation. The research is related to the search for new anti-crisis tools and methods to protect and support the company's reputation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The reputation strategy does not always take into account new social approaches to consumer communication in the modern online environment. The research methodology consists in the application of empirical methods of included observation. This methodological approach allows us to reveal and analyze certain threats to the reputation management of enterprises that are formed under the influence of the emergence of specific consumer habits in quarantine conditions of self-isolation, and to identify problems of reputation as trust in business in the conditions of hypersensitivity of consumers during the coronacrisis. The scientific novelty of the work is to expand the understanding of anti-crisis communications in order to preserve the company's reputation. The reputational risks of companies in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic are growing and becoming unpredictable due to the sensitivity of consumers to the brand. Active social campaigns of organizations allow not only to provide anti-crisis management, but also to protect the reputation as preventive methods of countering potential crisis situations. By identifying the basic anticrisis capabilities of organizations, communication solutions were found to protect the reputation from crisis situations.

Dmytro Mirkovets

Candidate of Juridical Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor at the Department Public Law Disciplines
University of Modern Knowledge (Kyiv, Ukraine)
ORCID ID: 0000-0003-2539-2824
Anotation. The normative basis of the activity of the prosecutor, investigator and head of the inquest body is analysed and the peculiarities of the control and supervisory activity of the prosecutor in the respective direction are determined. It's noted that that ensuring the legality and observance of the rights of individuals equally covered activities of the prosecutor in the pretrial investigation and inquiry. It is established, that the powers of the prosecutor at the stage of pre-trial investigation go beyond supervision, which results in mixing, combining control and supervisory powers in the activities of one subject. The solution to this problem is possible through a rational redistribution of powers between the prosecutor and the subjects of departmental control. Thus, the right of the prosecutor to give instructions on conducting investigative (search) actions, the possibility to conduct them independently, directives, instructions of the prosecutor should be sent to the head of the pre-trial investigation body

INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC LAW: TO THE PROBLEM STATEMENT

Nargis Mohd

Postgraduate Student at the Department of International and European Law
National University “Odesa Law Academy” (Odesa, Ukraine)
ORCID ID: 0000-0025-3589-4628
Anotation. The article is devoted to the subject of formation of international Islamic law within the framework of the concept of regionalization of international law. In this regard, the problem of separating from that part of the set of universal international legal norms that concerns Islamic states is actualized. At the same time, this process is taking place not only in the direction of adapting universal international standards to the peculiarities of Islamic states, but also in the direction of creating regional standards that concretize universal ones through the prism of their civilizational features. There is noted the absence in the national doctrine of international law of studies devoted to international Islamic law as a manifestation of regionalization and fragmentation of international law. It was ascertained that the separating of international Islamic law as a phenomenon of regionalization of modern international law does not coincide with the geographical designation of the territory to which these regional norms apply. The criterion for separating of international Islamic law is the civilizational-religious factor, not the territorial one. The issue of understanding the limological characteristics of international Islamic law is disclosed. There is noted the non-identity of the Islamic concept of international law, which is based on the provisions of classical Islamic law and international Islamic law as a manifestation of fragmentation and regionalization of modern international law.

Anotation. The article is devoted to the issues of improving the legislation in the field of protection of the rights of the child, and a separate specific area has been selected, which concerns child-friendly justice. It is emphasized that the development of legislation in this area is an important element of state policy to protect the rights of the child, but at the same time the current regulatory framework is not sufficiently systematized and is not fully based on the best interests of the child. To demonstrate the prospects for the legal regulation of child-friendly justice, a generalization of the experience of the international community was conducted. There are two promising ways to systematize the legislation, which can be implemented in the form of adoption of both the Juvenile Code and, in contrast, the relevant Law on Child-Friendly Justice.
